Who We Are

With increasing costs of tuition and other school costs, more students are graduating univeristy and college with a substantial amount of debt. Jobs are still largely found either by word of mouth, government or university run job boards or ads placed in the windows of shops and restaurants. Most of the major employment websites charge fairly significant fees for placing employment ads on their sites and therefore most corporatations will invest those funds in the search for full-time employees. The local restaurant or shop may not have the free cash flow to utilize these websites and therefore will rely on the old fashioned method of a sign in the window. Corporations that may pay better than a smaller employer may rely on people that have a current relationship with existing employees or students who drop their resume off with their HR department.

Well were hoping to change all that. Student Sleuths is a free online service connecting students with employers looking to fill employment roles. We don't charge students for our services and we don't charge company's to post jobs with us. We derive our revenue from the advertising found on this site aimed at our two key demographics. Through extensive media blitzing we hope to attract company's both large and small to place a job posting on Student Sleuths and use our site to find the student talent they seek. Since we don't charge a fee to post a job posting on Student Sleuths we remove the financial barrier that may exist for company's dealing with other employment websites.

We have created a unique student profile that students can complete, which creates a large directory that employers can search and contact students that may best fit their organization. This means that even when a student is not actively pursuing a job, that an employer can still be pursuing them.

Student Sleuths is owned and published by On-Line Distribution Inc., a privately held Canadian company. On-Line Distribution develops various internet projects including Santa's Helper (www.santashelper.ca), RateAMaid (www.rateamaid.com), BlackBerry Edge and BBerryOne.
